JOB OPENING: AIM is seeking a Project Manager HolyGrail 2.0 Initiative to join its Brussels team
AIM, the European Brands Association, represents the branded consumer goods industries in Europe on key issues that affect the ability of brand manufacturers to design, distribute and market their brands. AIM’s membership consists of 2,500 companies of all sizes, through our direct corporate members and national associations, who innovate, create and invest across the EU in the personal care, homecare, food, beverages, apparel, toys and luxury goods sectors.
AIM facilitates the Digital Watermarks Initiative HolyGrail 2.0 as a R&D project with more than 160 companies and organisations involved from the complete packaging value chain. The objective is to prove the technical viability of digital watermarks for accurate sorting of packaging waste as well as the economic viability of the business case at large scale.
HolyGrail 2.0 includes 3 phases:
1) Development of prototype detection unit;
2) Semi-industrial trials;
3) Industrial trials.
To spearhead the next phase of this project, AIM is recruiting a Project Manager on a contractual basis to coordinate and manage the HolyGrail 2.0 initiative.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and oversee the entire HolyGrail 2.0 Initiative, which encompasses several work packages, working and planning the execution of the strategy with the Leadership Team, members, and supporting work package leaders to finalise and deliver results.
- Supervise external consultants for the technical team, regular exchange and support with focus on implementation of Phase 3 industrial trials, as well as supervision of the communications & project management support function.
- Primary liaison for the Leadership Team, HolyGrail 2.0 membership, and Advisory Group, for questions, information and review of plans.
- Primary liaison for the funding partner, with regular update meetings.
- Media contact point for questions and information.
- Management of project budget and reporting, in conjunction with the Director General of AIM.
- Regular communication and updates to HolyGrail 2.0 membership, Leadership Team, Advisory Group and funding partner.
- Key liaison point with external legal counsel on various aspects of contract management.
- Draft publications, articles, press releases, website and social media content with the communications support function.
Skills
- 15-20 years' experience with a track record of managing and coordinating projects, preferably with a sustainability focus.
- Strong industry knowledge regarding best practices and policies for plastics processing, recycling technologies and (plastic) packaging.
- Ability to take initiative and think ‘out-of-the-box' for solutions in managing systemic change across industries.
- Fluent in English; both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under pressure whilst respecting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Impeccable organisational skills and structured work approach.
