AIM signs the Circular Plastics Alliance Declaration

On 20 September 2019, the Circular Plastics Alliance (CPA) presented and adopted its declaration. The declaration has been developed by the complete plastics value chain with support of the European Commission, and describes the alliance’s vision for more recycled plastics in Europe as well as their commitments for action to reach the EU target of incorporating 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics into new products on the EU market by 2025. 

AIM, the European Brands Association, and its members have been involved from the start and contributed to the work. Today, AIM officially joined the list of signatories of the declaration. Bringing together the complete value chain – from producers, retailers, converters, recyclers and waste management operators – is key for delivering a functioning market for recycled plastics and for promoting its increased supply.
