New report on Mapping the Impact of Illicit Trade on the Sustainable Development Goals by TRACIT available now

Transnational Alliance to Combat Illicit Trade has published its new report on Mapping the Impact of Illicit Trade on the Sustainable Development Goals. The report was launched at a the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and TRACIT co-hosted event “Dialogue on Illicit Trade and the Sustainable Development Goals“, held on 18 July 2019 in Geneva.

Findings from the report show that illicit trade across 12 sectors significantly compromises achievement of the SDGs by crowding out legitimate economic activity, depriving governments of revenues for investment in vital public services, dislocating hundreds of thousands of legitimate jobs and causing irreversible damage to ecosystems and human lives.

The report and a executive summary are available via the link below.
