Kellogg’s 2019-2020 Corporate Responsibility Report
Kellogg has a strong presence in the European region, with factories in Spain, Poland, Belgium and the UK and offices across Europe employing over 5,000 people. In Europe and around the globe, Kellogg is creating Better Days by fighting hunger, protecting our planet, supporting wellbeing and driving equity as part of our commitment to helping 3 billion people have Better Days by the end of 2030.
Some of the highlights from the report are as follows:
- In 2019, we reduced greenhouse gas emissions in our manufacturing sites globally by more than 20% from a 2015 baseline – exceeding our 15% reduction goal one year ahead of schedule. In Europe, 100% of our electricity comes from renewables (28% across our worldwide operations).
- Since 2015, we have supported more than 433,000 farmers with climate-smart agriculture programs that support biodiversity, including in Spain, Italy and the UK.
- We achieved 76% packaging recyclability in 2019 globally, and have joined packaging supply chain recycling partnerships in Europe, such as CEFLEX for soft plastics and 4Evergreen for paper-based packaging.
- Since 2015, we have donated 4 billion servings of food to people facing hunger and reached 3.2 million children through feeding programs, including in Europe in partnership with members of the Federation of European Food Banks.
