A new Brands Lecture from the British Brands Group

The series of Brands Lectures organised by the British Brands Group continue!

The 20th Brands Lecture will be delivered in London by Adam Morgan, author of the seminal book on branding The Big Fish: How challenger brands can compete against brand leaders. Postponed from December for health reasons, it will now be held on Tuesday 27 February.

For all that we’ve learnt about marketing effectiveness, the big beige elephant in the marketing room is that most brands and marketing are still unforgivably boring.

But what is the real cost of being dull for us all? Why are so many smart, well-intentioned people producing such boring communications, inside and outside our organisations? And what should we be doing about it?

Adam, author and founder of the consultancy eatbigfish, will share the findings of his latest research comprising of a series of interviews with experts in making dull subjects interesting, as well as the results of a collaboration with last year’s Brands Lecturer, Peter Field, on measuring the financial cost of being dull.

The Lecture will be held at the Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews, London W1G 9DT, 1800 for an 18:30 start, and will be followed by a drinks reception.
